Sticth like pain for 3days on right side of stomach

by Deeanna
(London , uk)

I have had a constant stitch like pain for 3-4 days now. It just above the right side of my hip in my abdomen and also server lower back pain. I have also started to get some similar twinges on my left side mirroring the area to my right.

I vomited the other evening a few times but have had constant heartburn as well.

I suffer with endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome and have had a laparoscopy 3 years ago.

I am under a specialist for my ovaries and I am probably about to be put on the list for another Opp as have been suffering terribly lately with my periods. I am 26 years old .

Dear Deeanna,

How are you today? Are you still experiencing the stitch-like pain on the right side of your abdomen?

Any fever or loose bowel motions? Any distention of your abdomen?

With your history of endometriosis, it is possible that this or indeed polycystic ovarian syndrome might be causing the right sided stitch or pain you are experiencing.

It is also possible that you might be having a stomach bug.

Hopefully, the pain should have resolved by now.

If you are still experiencing this stitch-like pain, I would advise you see your GP to examine you and narrow down the possible cause.

Please do not hesitate to contact us, should you have any further concerns or specific questions to be addressed.
