severe pain around my navel area

I am 35 yrs old lady.
For the past 2 months i used to get severe pain around my navel area.Atleast 2 to 3 times a month.
The pain is intolerable that the navel area becomes so tight and i feel that something is twisting inside that area.My belly button is slightly projected after my second delivery.
Sometimes the pain goes of soon and sometimes the pain lasts for even 5 to 6 hrs.
Is this a serious problem?should i consult a doctor?
