pain in the left lower side of the abdomen during pregnancy at 16 weeks

I am 25 years and 16wks pregnant, I have been having this slight pain on my lower left abdomen, the pain is not severe because I have to press on the spot to feel it.
I have been having difficulty stooling not until today my stomach rumbled seriously and I was able to have a loose stool but my stomach did hurt real bad and afterward I was relieved for about 15-20 minutes before the pain resurfaced.
