slight discomfort right side of belly button 10 months

by Jennifer
(New Jersey)

Hello,

My name is Jennifer and I'm 34 years old. In my abdomen, I have this constant feeling of slight discomfort on the right side of my belly button for almost a year now. Sometimes I feel it more while I sleep and other times after I eat or drink anything. It's not painful, it just bothers me that I don't know what it is.

I had a pelvic and upper quadrant ultrasound done which came back neg along with my blood work. They told me if it gets worst they can do a CAT scan. The doctor also said it might be abdominal adhesion due to my three surgeries (2 c-sections and one cyst drainage)

Thanks for your help in advance.

Jen

Medical problems: I've had ovarian cysts in the past.

Hi Jennifer,

I agree with your doctors. I think a Ct scan and possibly endoscopy might help, if you continue to be symptomatic.

pulling pain near belly button
by: Anonymous

I have had a pulling pain next to my belly button. I have had 5 surgeries on my belly. Two c sections, gallbladder removed, appendectomy and an exploratory surgery as well. Every time I look it up it takes me to abdominal adhesions!

any updates?
by: Anonymous

Were either of you able to figure out the cause. I had a csection two years ago and am having the same pains.
At first I thought it was what I was eating -it's not. I have added digestive enzymes & probiotics to my vitamins to see if it is a digestive issue. I just started them about 5 days ago so am not sure yet if they work.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated :)

I have the same issue
by: Andrea

I have had the exact same discomfort for close to a year. I have had an internal and external ultra sound and CT scan that all show nothing. I have had 2 c-sections as well as ovarian cysts (believed to be stemming from my IUD). I am heading back to the internist today for additional help. I will keep you posted.
