Dear Linda,

I can see that you are in a lot of pain still, despite the normal blood test and CT scan report. It must be very distressing not to be able to put one's finger on the cause of such a terrible pain like the one you are describing.

I see this often in my practice, unfortunately. What I often say, is that it is very disappointing not to have found the cause of the pain, but the good news is that whatever is causing the pain, is not one of those dangerous causes of abdominal pain. That does not mean though that this right side stomach pain of your should be disregarded.

What pain killers did you get from the hospital? Can you go back to get something more stronger and perhaps for re-evaluation? Not finding anything first time, even with a scan does not mean that things cannot change, especially if the pain is not going away.

If you are running temperature and the pain is still on going, please go back to the emergency room. If they say things are exactly the same as before, ask for stronger pain killers.

I hope you find relief soon from this pain, Linda.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is any further way we can be of help.

Kindest Regards.

Dr Edema.
